This year, Maitri School celebrated Teacher’s Day with the theme “Garden of Gratitude”, taking time to appreciate the dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff who play an important role in supporting our students and their families.
A week before the celebration, staff were invited to write messages of gratitude to one another. These heartfelt notes were placed in floral envelopes and delivered after the celebration, spreading plenty of smiles along the way.
On 2nd September 2026, the celebrations began with a special video presentation featuring a poem and the action song “Skidamarink.” Students from each class shared their gratitude through the performances, drawings, written messages and heartfelt words to their teachers.
Students also contributed to the 2026 Teacher’s Day Mural, decorating leaves and petals with gem stickers, messages, motivational stickers and drawings for their teachers. Together, their contributions blossomed into a colourful garden of gratitude.
And what better way to show our appreciation than with treats! The staff were treated to an assortment of snacks and drinks during the week of Teacher’s Day. The treats were a huge hit! They were completely wiped out!
Once again, a heartfelt thank you to all our staff for the many ways they contribute to our school community. Through their dedication, encouragement and care, they help our students grow, bloom and flourish each day. Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference!
