2024 July Field Trip

For the first time, students of class M2-4 travelled beyond the neighbourhood playgrounds to Eunos Cresent Market and Food Centre during their field trip on 9 July 2024. The drizzle did not dampen the excitement of the students, which is no surprise as they have been prepared well by their teachers to standby umbrellas and raincoats for wet weather.

The day began with a briefing where students decided on their subsequent purchase of one food item and one drink item from the food centre. To encourage them to be independent in their purchase, students were reminded to refer to the sentence strips in communicating their orders to the stallholders.

On the journey to the food centre, the students applied what they learnt on road safety to navigate the road crossings. Students ordered what they wanted at the food centre with the use of the sentence strips, and also practised payment and receiving of change. We are appreciative of the stallholders who waited patiently for our students to complete their orders. Their kindness and support is key to the success of the learning trip.

With the purchases completed, students walked happily back to school to enjoy their food and drinks in the canteen with their friends.
