2025 National Day Celebration

Our National Day celebration at Maitri School on 8th August 2025 was a heartwarming event filled with joy, laughter, and togetherness. Students and teachers came together for a day of fun activities, games, and a batik art session, all in the spirit of celebrating Singapore’s 60th birthday.

The programme opened with a Recollections Recitation segment by staff emcees to bring everyone to reflect on our nation-building journey, followed by the National Anthem as well as the raising of the national flag on a DIY flagpole led by student Ezra. The emcees Leon and Calvin uplifted the beginning of the day’s events with their lively presence and creative touch.

From there, the school grounds came alive with vibrant activities.   Students enthusiastically took part in carnival-style game booths, had a blast at the bouncy castles, and enjoyed treats at the popcorn booth.   A major highlight was the Batik Community painting activity, where students and staff came together to paint a stunning piece of art.   This collective effort not only showcased creativity but also symbolized unity where everyone played a part in creating something beautiful together.

The celebration was also made brighter with face painting and sticker tattoos, which brought endless joy to the students, while the photobooth with themed costumes created wonderful memories for students to take home.

Of course, such a meaningful celebration would not have been possible without the commitment of our dedicated staff.

This National Day celebration was a true reflection of school spirit, teamwork, and community.  A big thank you to everyone who contributed in both big and small ways.  Together, we created lasting memories for our students.
