2025 Hari Raya Celebration

A Joyous Hari Raya Puasa Celebration at Maitri School!

Maitri School recently shimmered with festive spirit as we celebrated Hari Raya Puasa! It was a day filled with learning, laughter, and cultural appreciation! Our students embarked on a memorable journey, immersing themselves in the rich traditions of this special occasion. The day began in our school hall, where students gathered to learn the significance of Hari Raya. An interactive Q&A session sparked participation and deepened their understanding of the festival's customs and values. We provided quiz pictures for visual support for our students.

Next, the hall transformed into a vibrant runway for our highly anticipated Fashion Show Competition! Each class proudly showcased a student adorned in their most festive attire, highlighting the theme of Hari Raya fashion.

The excitement continued with a spirited 'Gasing' spinning top competition, introducing our students to a beloved traditional Malay spinning top game. The friendly competition brought smiles and cheers to all.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, students swayed and danced to the joyful melodies of two popular Hari Raya songs, embracing the cultural rhythm and spirit of the celebration. The festivities extended into the classrooms. Our morning session students crafted beautiful Ramadan gift boxes, while the afternoon session students explored the art of dot painting. Throughout the day, two photo booths were provided for capturing cherished memories in their festive outfits.

No celebration is complete without delicious treats! Our students savoured some traditional Malay kuehs during recess, experiencing the sweet flavours of Hari Raya.

It was indeed a day filled with cultural immersion and joyous activities.
