Letter to Parents (Term 2, 2025)
I hope your child and you have had a restful break this March holiday. With the start of Term 2, we strive to continue providing engaging learning experiences for your child and working collaboratively with you on interventions of your child’s Individual Education Plan goals this term.
1. ATTENDANCE DURING SCHOOL TERM
The school would like to reiterate the importance of your child’s attendance in school and punctuality every day, which will allow your child to participate actively in lessons, school routines and all activities.
Should your child be unwell and unable to attend school, please provide the Medical Certificate or a letter to explain the child’s absence to the Form Teacher on the day the child returns to school next. In addition, I am seeking your support and understanding not to plan for any vacation for your child during the school term as we do not wish to deprive your child of any learning in school. We do not approve of any leave for vacation reasons and strongly discourage our students from missing school.
2. COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS
This is the second year since the launch of our parents’ portal “Little Family Room”, which is the default communication tool between teachers and parents, rather than WhatsApp Chat. Our teachers have been sharing with you the photos and videos of your child’s participation in school activities and events. We will also be updating your child’s learning progress and precious moments through this online communication portal.
The school will stay connected with you via this portal for the latest events and bulletins. You are therefore strongly encouraged to login and start accessing this portal for communication with your child’s Form Teacher, if you have not done so.
Should you face any issue with accessing the portal, please contact your child’s Form Teacher for assistance.
3. METTA CHARITY CARNIVAL
Thank you for the show of support for the Metta Charity Carnival at Metta School/Building, on Sunday, 23 March. We are also appreciative of your support for the Angklung performance by our students in the hall.
A big thank you to the parents of our Angklung students who made time and efforts to send your child for the Angklung rehearsals during the school holidays and for supporting the school by allowing your child to participate in the Angklung performance.
