Maitri School proudly marked a significant milestone with our inaugural participation in the National Education (NE) Show on Saturday, 11 July 2026. For many of our students, it was their first opportunity to experience Singapore’s National Day celebrations at the National Stadium alongside thousands of fellow Singaporeans.
Held under this year’s theme, “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!”, the evening offered much more than a spectacular performance. It was an authentic learning experience that enabled our students to strengthen their sense of belonging, celebrate Singapore’s multicultural community, and create lasting memories with their teachers and peers.

The National Stadium came alive with dazzling multimedia displays, vibrant performances and an electrifying atmosphere. Equipped with interactive fun packs and synchronised LED wristbands, our students enthusiastically waved their Singapore flags, sang along with fellow students from schools across Singapore, and immersed themselves in the celebrations. The shared excitement and energy created an unforgettable evening filled with joy and national pride.

One of the most meaningful moments of the evening was when our students and teachers stood alongside thousands of fellow Singaporeans to recite the Singapore Pledge. This powerful experience fostered a sense of unity and belonging, while deepening our students’ appreciation of Singapore’s shared values, multicultural heritage and national identity.

Beyond the celebrations, the NE Show also provided valuable opportunities for our students to build confidence, develop greater independence and practise important community and social skills in a real-world setting. With the support and encouragement of their teachers, they navigated a new environment, interacted with the wider community and embraced new experiences with enthusiasm and resilience.
As our students returned home with smiles, cherished memories and a deeper appreciation of Singapore’s journey, Maitri School also celebrated a milestone of our own. We are proud to have been part of this memorable occasion and look forward to creating many more meaningful learning experiences that inspire our students to grow as active, confident and caring members of the community.
