On 16 July 2025, Class M3-3 embarked on an unforgettable journey to Bedok Reservoir. Excitement filled the air, as it was the students’ very first field trip traveling together by bus. The weather was sunny yet pleasantly cool when the students arrived at the park. The students took a leisurely walk through the shady pathways, enjoying the crisp morning air and tranquil surroundings. All their senses were engaged as they walked the path, listening to the cheerful chirping of birds, breathing in the fresh scent of lush green grass, and observing joggers pushing on, perspiring from their exertions. Their walk eventually led them to the serene reservoir.

One of the highlights of the trip for the students was reaching the floating boardwalk, which stretched like a wooden bridge across the water’s surface. Everyone was excited to step onto it, feeling the gentle rocking beneath their feet and the refreshing breeze in the air. While taking in the scenic surroundings, the teacher took the opportunity to educate students that the reservoir not only provides a space for recreation, but also serves as an important water catchment area, hence we must help keep it clean by not littering.
Students eagerly explored the boardwalk, reading signboards and taking photos while leaning on the railings. The view from the boardwalk was truly spectacular and left a lasting impression on all of them.

Another highlight for the students was the turtles they spotted when nearing the end of the boardwalk. The students excitedly pointed at them, shouting, “Ms Lee, I can see turtles!” Along the way, students also encountered a friendly walker who greeted them warmly, which the teacher immediately got the students to practice their social skills by greeting her back.

After the nature walk, students headed over to the playground, where they enjoyed 15 minutes of play before sharing a meal together at Mr Prata’s restaurant.

Everyone enjoyed their favourite prata, which was so delicious that the students quickly finished every bite!
The final stop of the trip was at a nearby supermarket. This platform provided students the opportunity to practice their math and life skills lesson.

Students selected their preferred snacks and made payment at the cashier counter. They were reminded to check on the price before buying, to make sure they had enough money.

Back in the classroom, the students reflected on what they had learnt during the field trip and brought back memories they could share with their families.
