Celebrating Together: Engage, Experience, and Express
The 2026 Hari Raya Celebration was a full‑day, school‑wide event designed to provide inclusive, structured, and meaningful learning experiences for all students. The programme showcased strong teamwork, thoughtful activity design, and targeted supports tailored for our students.
The day began with classroom-based sessions where students were introduced to the Hari Raya mass dance through guided teaching slides. This visual approach supported our students with ASD in understanding the dance movements progressively gradually and building confidence.
Students then took part in three art activities:
- Ketupat Weaving – strengthening fine motor skills and sequencing abilities
- Hari Raya Card Design – supporting creative expression and communication
- Lantern Colouring – providing a calm, sensory‑friendly art experience
These activities were intentionally designed to reinforce fine motor development, support communication, and promote emotional regulation in a structured and engaging manner.

Celebration in the Sports Hall
The celebration continued in the Sports Hall with a lively performance by the organising committee. This energetic segment helped set a joyful and festive tone, while also providing positive adult modelling to encourage student participation in movement and dance.

Modelling Segment
Students had the opportunity to showcase their festive outfits on stage, building confidence while encouraging social communication and positive peer interaction.

Interactive Stage Games
To strengthen core life‑skills, students participated in a series of engaging stage games:
- Matching Ketupat Images – developing visual recognition

- Sorting by Colour – reinforcing categorisation skills

- Counting Ketupats – building numeracy and sequencing abilities

These visually guided and structured activities were especially beneficial for students with ASD, supporting engagement, understanding of rules, and active participation.
Celebratory Dance, Tribute Video, and Closing Recap
The celebration continued with a vibrant Hari Raya dance party, where students came together to enjoy music and movement in a joyful and inclusive atmosphere.
A heartfelt tribute video was also presented, featuring well wishes from staff and students, and extending warm greetings to our Muslim colleagues and students.
The programme concluded with a guided recap session, during which students practised Hari Raya greetings, reinforcing communication skills and social-emotional learning.
The organising committee would like to express its sincere appreciation to all staff for their contributions and collaboration in making this celebration a meaningful and successful event.
With Appreciation,
2026 Hari Raya Organising Committee
