Maitri School proudly celebrated its annual Prize Giving Day 2025 on 20 November 2025, bringing together students, families, dedicated staff, community partners, and distinguished guests to honour the remarkable achievements of our learners. This year’s theme, “Kaleidoscope,” captured our belief that every student is a unique and vibrant piece of our school community, each with their own colours, strengths, and brilliance that come together to form something extraordinary. Guests were also treated to a stunning gallery of student artworks, a testament to our learners’ creativity and spirit.
A Celebration Full of Joy, Talent, and Heart
The celebration was filled with warmth and energy, featuring captivating performances including Angklung, Dance Pop, Circus Arts, a special appearance by a beloved local celebrity, and a dazzling interactive bubble show. Each segment added to the festive atmosphere and created meaningful opportunities for our students to shine and share their talents with pride.
Soft Launch of the “Maitri Express”
The day began with the highly anticipated opening of the Maitri Express, a fully retrofitted transport-training bus designed to provide authentic, hands-on learning experiences for our students. Enthusiastic student guides welcomed guests and led them on an engaging tour of the bus, where they explored its thoughtfully designed interior and launched the Maitri Express with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The Maitri Express stands as a powerful symbol of community partnership and our commitment to equipping students with real-life travel skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Angklung Performance
Our Angklung ensemble captivated the audience with a beautifully synchronised performance that showcased the students’ musicality, teamwork, and concentration. Their confident playing and heartfelt dedication highlighted the joy of collective music-making and celebrated the cultural richness of the Angklung tradition.
Circus Arts Showcase
In their debut performance, our Circus Arts group delivered an energetic and skilful showcase featuring juggling, spinning plates, and coordinated movement sequences. Months of practice, perseverance, and courage culminated in a performance that was as inspiring as it was memorable.
Special Guest Appearance by Local Celebrity
Excitement soared when Mr. Hady Mirza, beloved winner of Singapore Idol, graced the stage. His warm presence added joy and inspiration to the celebration, reinforcing cultural pride and deepening the connection within our school community.
Dance Pop Performance
The Dance Pop CCA lit up the stage with a dynamic and expressive routine filled with rhythm, enthusiasm, and teamwork. Their performance was a clear highlight, with families and guests cheering the dancers on as they moved with joy and confidence.
Interactive Bubble Show Finale
The celebration concluded with a spectacular interactive bubble show that brought smiles, laughter, and wonder to the hall. From giant bubbles to smoke-filled spheres and bubble tunnels large enough to stand in, the finale created a magical and mesmerising atmosphere. Students and parents enjoyed the immersive experience, ending the event on an uplifting and joyful note.
A Day of Pride, Gratitude, and Celebration
As the final bubbles drifted away, what remained was a deep sense of pride and gratitude. Prize Giving Day 2025 was more than a celebration of awards and performances. It was a reflection of every child’s unique journey, every small victory, every courageous step forward, and every hand that supported them along the way.
